I believe all the luxuries will only be available at their HQ or maybe a few
European countries.
If you take good care of your employees, it is quite normal for the employee
to take care of the employer as well.
Of course these companies do select extremely talented staff as well.
I believe a quite a few companies do really take care of their employees -
Microsoft, Apple, Motorola for example. Google, it seems have taken it to
the next level.
Even with such facilities, employees wouldn't be expected to "slave" in
their office and be expected to be available 24/7.
It is quite different I hear, in India. If you are paid lots, you are
basically expected to be at work 10-12 hrs. There is no respect for personal
lifestyle. I have heard stories from my friends in India who say that they
need to be physically present at their desk just to show their presence to
their boss. In short one has to sit down at his desk just to show that
he/she is busy.
It's not too hard to understand why most of the creative developments have
taken place in western countries.
If people just played there, Google wouldn't be one of the top performing
companies in the world.
