*Madhumita Acharyya Biswas: A Brief Introduction:*

*Madhumita is a recent addition to Delhi's assembly of musicians. A
classical singer of Bishnupur Gharana, Madhumita received her training from
her mother Sabita Acharyya. Later on she took keen interest in modern songs
including the melodies of our legendary composers, and while at Ranchi she
gave a number of stage performances of popular Hindi songs etc. She has been
a regular singer of  both classical and modern songs on Doordarshan and All
India Radio. She also had the rare opportunity to perform before the then
President of India Hos Excellency Shri A. P. J. Abdul Kalam and Prime
Minister Shri Atal Bihari Vajpayee during their visits to Ranchi*
