The Manipur Times
For Global Identity

Preserving our past for a great future is what THE MANIPUR TIMES will work now.
THE MANIPUR TIMES missions are to preserve the culture, to globalise
our identity and to unite the community. It is a platform for every
group that need global recognition, and is here to promote everyone in
unbiased and multiperspectival approach.
Culture and tradition is the essence of any society's identity and it
is also important to the development of a peaceful community spirit.
It is through the evolution of culture that our society's
distinctiveness emerges.
Clearly our identity is under threat as we see our ideologies, customs
and traditions give way to the media influences of other mixed
cultures. The preservation of our unique identity has become a
challenge rather than something we can take for granted. We need a
media to preserve, globalise and promote ourselves.

The Manipur Times is for indigenous and scattered community
–Anal,Aimol, Assamese, Bodo, Bishnupriya, Chiru,Hmar, Kabui, Khasi,
Mao, Mizo, Meetei, Poumai, Pangal, Tripuri and Tangkhul, Thangal etc.
that has been neglected by the mainstream media for decades.
We believe in the globalisation of our culture, tradition and
languages. Let the world knows our unity that represents a large
community bordering China, Myanmar and other South Asian countries. It
is time we search for our brothers and sisters and beloved people whom
we have lost due to barriers created by communal forces.
Despite the diversity of our community, we share common problems and
issues in dealing with the prevailing, or invading, society. We are
generally concerned that the cultures of Indigenous peoples are being
lost and that indigenous peoples suffer both discrimination and
pressure to assimilate into their surrounding societies.
THE MANIPUR TIMES will be available in the USA, UK, Australia, Japan,
China, Nepal, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Dubai and some regions
which are working for the preservation of their own identity and
cultures. It will be circulated to various Embassies based in Delhi
and respective state government departments as well as to every
organisations In India who like to know our rich culture and
languages.

Our Motto is "Unity for Global Identity"
