This was hapening in Assam since long.And increased dramatically since the social values gone down during time of Assam agitations etc....no control by the elders.
An young beautiful girl from my home town eloped with one Bengali boy in Maligaon while she was studying in GU long years ago.She was 3 yrs younger to me.At the time of fful swing Assam agitations they got married to him at Maligaon of GHY and after 3 months she was burnt alive.Although it was love marriage, but later the boys parents and he did all.Nothing had happened to anyone.Parents of the girls cooled and the father died after stroke.
My own only one sister from 5 brothers has same story. She left home with her BF while she was studying in GHY in 1986, while my mother was sick and finally died.WE never knew all drama.He was a big liar from North Lakhimpur town and later found to be involved in criminal activities... sad to say.She is 47 with growing kids, Now only he is harrassing her for DOWRY!!! Haa.......She says to go back home and bring money.....as he got no other mean to earn.His cheating times are over.Lot many police cases etc al around the state.
So all that happened in Assam .In this case also we got nothing to do as she left home while we was at shock loosing our mother at GMCH.
Only we clean our tears silently, so that none see this.
