Dear Mr Dey,
Your name reminds me your truthfulness, not to joke.YOur parents were thoughtfull enough.
I do appreciate this mail and did expected this question.No need to ask him.I can tell that why still he is in a remote corner of Assam.After freedom, all forgot.It become India for all and the power greedy opportunists.The begining of a new dreamland....full of dirty colours as we see today.Gandhi remains only to remind.To pay homage in the name of democracy.
He was sent to jail immediately after declaration of Emergency by his old friend Indira Gandhi at her direct order.IB & RAW was quick enough to nab him and placed in Tezpur jail same night,where he was in 1942.SAme British Jailors son he found as Tezpur Jain Supdt....whom he used to call as powali babu.
He started Assam agitation from our house alone when then MP and very old close friend of my father HIralal patowari died, re election ordered, founf hell of illegal citizen in rolls.A new begining from that same remote village.Hue and cry, Girin Baruah,REnuka /debi Barkataky, Pachu Gopal Baruah,Dulal Baruah started coming to meet father and Asam Gana Sangram Parishad was formed.06 Nov 1979 was the first ever Gana samabesh in Mangaldai.But- Again independant India felt him as terrorist.He was sent to Kalkapani at Bhalukpong Guest house with Bijoya Chakraborty.But the mystery of Indian politics, today Bijoya Chakraborty copuld become Central Minister, earned good to have a good home in Delhi.Good politics to join BJP to carry dead bodies of GHY bomb blast to Janata Bhavan and dumped to the nearby ponds.. this is how the assamese dead was paid tribute!!
Later Assam agitation make we, the entire family to go bankrrupsy- as all household money was used for the agitation.
His dream country, a new democracy placed him behing bars again with hell of anti indian activites.Assam agitation can never be forgotten.While entire family in jail, our mother was sick and due to lack of medical cares she died pathetically.Paniram Saw his youngst Son, Bhargab Kumar Das being handcuffed and paraded in Mangaldai in 2000 cases all over Assam.His close friend did filed case against this young boy, who was just BA 1st year student in BBaruah College GHY.His career ruined fully.Like father, Bhargab stayed in various police lock ups and jails in Assam.The place he never saw also have criminal case against him!! AGP Govt never withdraw any case... Still he visit all courts as per law.Paniram Das colleagues or friend of Bhargab could become minister from beggars.. but they still in same ZERO position.A family ruined after bringing freedom.
This is why I am coming out with outburst today.

I am glad to know you will write about his life and experience. 

Kindly, ask him what was the 'dream India' they were fighting for with all bravery and sacrifice. Also, ask him, how close he thinks 'after independence India' is to that dream.
