[Assam] "Non-Veg"

I did not find anything offensive at all in your mail. 

But in the process now I am seeing that I might have offended some with the quoted words that I used...well, that's why they were quoted to let people know that those are the words that have special meanings to some.

Anyway, in case it helps........ I used those words as here in the US when I go into buffet lines with servers serving, I get to see some frowned faces when I say I don't want the tender and delicious beef, pork or chicken pieces, but the beans (hate those beans floating on salt water with such a bland taste!). 

But this happens only sometimes nowadays, as there are some people (who have not seen, heard of or met the people outside their own community) who can not imagine that there are people who can survive without meat. 
More and more people know (and "approve") or at least heard of Vegetarians now, especially the "New Age" community are very much aware of us Vegetarians now. Some think and assume as a person of Indian origin, I was born a vegetarian. I guess I will be considered a 'born-again' vegetarian. 

Then again, who cares what one is called - it's a free world. But the discussion was not to pick on anyone, was merely a discussion :). And I very much agree that:
