Everyone loves their language; and I think would be happy if the whole world speaks that too. People can and should do everything; except government force to popularise their language.The problem is we don't know why our ancestors came up with a predatory institution called 'government'. We end up excepting everything from this government.Hope, I am clear. Please popularise your language. But, don't 'use' government to do that on your behalf. We are paying tax for 'security' and 'rule of law' not promoting language. Set up a separate organisation if you are keen to promote and get like minded people join you.The best option is enhance 'utility' factor of the language. Unlike, reserving government job, or promoting loan.That's how English has become a global language.Lets ask, how many governments made English a compulsary language? Even a rickshaw puller now is keen to teach his kid English. Because, it provides 'utility'With force you will end up more people unnecessarily disliking a good language.Satyajit DeyNew Delhi
