[Assam] LAO-PANI / RICE BEER

Thank you all.
My brother who visited me last year told me the same story about the
flavor--a little more pungent than poita bhat.
Why is it called lao pani,I wonder ? It is certainly not made from lao.Is it
because of the fact that the process of fermentation is carried out in a
container made out of dehydrated lao ? Dilipda,you are right.The process of
fermentation,I am told,is the most crucial step .
