Nice to see the name of my home village Bamun Pukhuri in the news. I grew up there, in nearby Boragaon village to be exact, and studied in Bamunpukhuri High School upto Class VII walking a mile to the school everyday bare footed. What unforgetable memories from those days.! Memories of all those places, Jhanji, Teok, Jog Duwar, Tamul Siga, Goro Mur, Gohain Gaon, Naw Boisa, Am Guri etc will always haunt me forever.
Long live the Bamun Pukhurians!
Long live the Bura Gohains!
