here is Born into Brothels on google video for free. Amnesty International also brought out a book for school kids called "Companion Curriculum" I haven't used it but lies near my bed-like all other books- I got it while meeting my Harvard prof in DC at Capital Hilton . Amnesty had a stall outside NEA meet where the prof was the keynote speaker on global skills for US schoolkids

That's good advice but a lot of work. 
 
In the mean time, why don't you watch these two documentaries, C'da:

         Born into Brothels
 
Then tell us if you see the difference. 
Oh, do not forget to take a deep breath, forget that all three films are about
India's poor, open your stained glasses with biasness, then make the
judgment. :)
