I will like to contact Rajen Barua if he is ex AEC and if he remembers
me.
Secondly,
I do not see any value addition to the General Stilwell road by renaming
it (after an Ahom King). It will lose its perspective in history made
famous by the great engineer General Stilwell. All those who read
Military history will agree with my view. It will be more famous, once
opened, with its present name.

Subject: [Assam] Buragohain ' bansawali' celebration concludes at
Bamunpukhuri (The Assam Tribune,13.02.2009)
Nice to see the name of my home village Bamun Pukhuri in the news. I
grew up there, in nearby Boragaon village to be exact, and studied in
Bamunpukhuri High School upto Class VII walking a mile to the school
everyday bare footed. What unforgetable memories from those days.!
Memories of all those places, Jhanji, Teok, Jog Duwar, Tamul Siga, Goro
Mur, Gohain Gaon, Naw Boisa, Am Guri etc will always haunt me forever.
Long live the Bamun Pukhurians!
Long live the Bura Gohains!
