[Assam] NYT: scientists versus the Food Gods (biotech firms)

tomorrow the companies can say -- stop growing all food - let the world starve. soon all crops will be genetically modified and thus under the control of these companies. Even if one does not buy the GM seeds but just by chance (seeds dropped on the ground  see google video "World According to Monsanto" ) it starts having mixbreeds with natve crops - one still needs to pay the "gene police"

Food riots and  clashes might see the start of  a new "clash of civilizations."  Farmers might then target western biotech firms and engage on suicide bombing instead of committing suicides .

Same for medical companies - but medical companies don't seem that stubborn/rustic.
