Stress on technical varsity in State
  GUWAHATI,
Feb 21 – Dr Samujjal Kr Bhattacharyya, adviser of AASU delivered a
lecture on “Need of technical and professional education in Assam” at a
function organised today by NAPS College of Management, Technology and
Media Studies in its premises at Zoo Road Tiniali, said a press release.

Adip
Phukan, editor, Adinor Smbad, Dr MC Bhuyan, ex-registrar, GU, Ranjit
Narayan Deka, educationist, Dr Hitesh Deka, principal, KC Das Commerce
College attended the occasion. Besides, Jiban Chandra Bhattacharjee,
ex-Dean of GU and representatives from different corporate houses were
also present.

Dr Bhattacharya emphasised the growing need of
technical and professional education in Assam. He further mentioned
about the lack of infrastructural facilities in Assam for technical
education. In his speech, he showed the data that Assam is far behind
in comparison to other states in terms of number of colleges and
universities. He appealed to the students to believe in firm
dedication, ethics and strong determination to make a mark in this
competitive world.
