Ugandan soccer player dies of heart attack at SilcharSilchar, March 3: In a tragic
incident, Kapeete Alex, a Ugandan footballer representing the George
Telegraph team, died of a massive cardiac attack yesterday night. Alex
who was found in a critical condition with severe breathing problem,
was rushed to the Silchar Medical College Hospital (SMCH), but was
declared ‘brought dead’ by doctors. Alex scored a goal yesterday
against Lajong Football Club in the on-going Second Division National
Soccer Tournament, but his team lost the game.
