Pro talk is a new word.Either like Prafulla Mahanta was paid well in crores to sit for negotiations with Govt of India by then IB and same theory is being planned by this pro talk people now to earn some good money.
What about making assam a most devastating state by these so called Freedom seking ULFA? What about killing/death of thousands of Assamese intellectuals like then brillinat Mahanta. They made all to get killed under various hands of India machinery and now they wanted to have sympathy from none other than us?Too sad to read. While their top brass are in Bangaldesh, enjoying well and some in the USA..... remaining wanted to forget what had happened to large number of assamese families.. how they got vanished..etc etc..
Sorry my der Pro talk.Time is over.Assam will never forgive you.Brahmaputra will never forgive you for your sins.

Therefore, we the pro-talk ULFA group looking at the (a) global political and economic situation (b) continuous threat from the neighbouring countries surrounding Assam (c) possible terrorist attacks in Assam by anti-Indian religious and fundamentalist groups (d) age-old religious and cultural ties with India; have adopted a resolution in favour of Full Regional Autonomy instead of independent Assam as pragmatic approach.
xxxx The question that readily comes to even a naive mind is like this. Okay, let us assume for argument's sake that ULFA top leaders are renegades to the noble causes of Assam. Since the 'pro-talk group' has already severed relations with those allegedly 'renegade' leaders, why the 'pro-talk ULFA' cannot continue the earlier demands of the ULFA.? How can a change in the leadership cause a change in the aims and objectives? I'm surprised, because, age-old religious and cultural ties with India cannot be a new situation. It it is present now, it was there always. If it was not there earlier, it is not there now. What are these global political and economic situation or continuous threat from the neighbouring countries surrounding Assam or possible terrorist attacks in Assam by anti-Indian religious and fundamentalist groups which were not in existence earlier but have come into being now that makes it mandatory to change the demand from
sovereignity to full autonomy?. Why do we need a 'pro-talk ULFA' organisation for that? The CPM has been doing that in West Bengal and they can be asked to espouse this cause here. Even our boys in AGP and Yuva Chatra Parishad and AASU have been raising similar demands. Also we have experience of URMCA and CPIML raising such demands earlier. (What is new?) Further, the name 'pro-talk ULFA' itself appears to be a misnomer in the sense that 'L' here stands for 'liberation' and in the changed situtaion it should be something like 'Autonomy Demand Front of Assam'.
I have reason to believe that the 'pro-talk ULFA' has not thought out its agenda at length. Since the demand has come down from 'independence' to 'autonomy', have they given up the guns and are totally dependent on Indian security forces for their individual saftey,as we ordinary citizens are? Because, I tend to think that we are not allowed to be armed as a group under the Indian Constitution and the laws framed there under. Are all their arms and ammunition licensed by the State and Union Government of India? Or are they more equal than us, the ordinary indian citizens on the streets?
