To compare Assam with the USA as far as immigration issue is concerned, will
be as good as comparing apples with oysters. The failure on part of the USA
to curb the influx of illegals does not mean that Assam should allow
Bangladeshis to cross the border freely till the indigenous people are
completely outnumbered. If the vast, resourceful and thinly populated
countries like the USA and Australia can have stringent immigration
laws, what does Assam have so much in abundance to render her so generous?
There must be checks and balances.
