>>> In the end,it turns out to be a slanging match, while the main
issue---humanity/terrorism--got lost in the cacophony.KJD
XXXX Despite denials or slanging match or whatever, it is now admitted that
the
basic presumption (main issue) had always been that the murder of the
engineer was an act of
terrorism requiring humanist sympathy/ empathy. And the fact remains that
it was
not terrorism (which is a political weapon in the present day world), but a
case of
individual murder. There could be no reason for any right thinking person to
object to any
condolence on such account. But, no such sympathy gushed forth when for
example Ms. Bibha Devi
of Cotton College had been murdered and it had been a piece of news item in
The
Sentinel and other newspapers.
However, I have to go by the ealier explanation offered that there was no
bias or prejudice involved
implying anything to the effect that sympathy was to a victim of terrorism
perpetrated by ULFA though
the sequel proved otherwise.
