Vision:

Vision
 is to make the people of Assam socially conscious economically strong 
and physically sound by eradicating illiteracy poverty and poor health. 
We also envisage making Assam a model state for rural entrepreneurship.



Mission:

 GRAMIN to ensure socio-economic development 
of 
Assam by 2020 AD would like to ensure complete mobilization of its 
resources – natural as well as human resources by providing cost 
effective, sustainable economic empowerment and health and educational 
services to the weaker section in general and women, children and 
unemployed youth in particular 


Aims and Objectives:

The
 principal aim of GRAMIN is to act as a promoting agency fir 
organizing the rural people of the district and motivate them to take-up
 income generating schemes either of their own or by participating in 
the process of development through availing the benefits of schemes of 
sponsored by Central govt., State Govt., or any other organization or 
institution. This will be achieved by ..

  





         
1. Organizing and motivating the people in the rural area 
in 
general and socially and economically weaker section of the society in 
particular for formation of small homogenous and cohesive Self Help 
Group (SHG) of 11-20 individuals and imbibing in them the concept of 
Self Help.

 

         
2. Help the members of the Self Help Group (SHG) acquire 
self 
reliance in literacy numeracy and functionality.

 

         
3. Motivating the members of the SHG to create the habit of
 
savings and micro-credit management within the group.

 

         
4. Building capacity of the members of the SHG through 
skills 
& capacity building training.

 

         
5. Inspiring the group members to take-up traditional and 
viable income generating schemes and preparing plan of action for such 
schemes.

 

         
6. Preparing project proposal and plan of action for 
area-specific and target specific income generating schemes for the 
groups and submit such POA in appropriate agencies for funding , 
negotiate for their approval and receive loans, grants-in-aid etc. for 
their implementation.

 

         
7. Organizing training on specific income generating 
schemes 
taken by group members for entrepreneurship development through 
mobilization and utilization of local resources.

 

         
8. To encourage and promote marketing activity among the 
group 
members.


 

         9. To work for development of handicrafts and other integrated 
crafts by organizing Skill Development Training and assisting them to 
establish enterprises and exploring the market for their products.

 

        
10. To work for organization and rehabilitation of persons 
with 
disabilities.

 

        
11. To provide vocational training to youths and prepare 
project
 proposal to State Govt/Govt. of India for vocationalization of 
education.

 

        
12. To work for the development of socio economic condition 
and 
for preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Scheduled 
Caste and Schedules Tribes people.

 

        
13. To work for empowerment of women through organization of
 
special programmes like seminars, symposiums, training, exhibitions for 
women.

 

        
14. To work for women and child development under different 
schemes of State Govt. and/or Govt. of India.

 

        
15. To work for old-aged people.

 

        
16. To help the rural educated youth setting up enterprises 
and 
linking them with appropriate agencies for technology transfer and other
 technical and support services.

 

        
17. To act as a microfinance provider to the SHG/JLG members
 and
 to individuals for furtherance of income generating activities. To take
 loan and to provide security to Banks for the purpose

 

        
18. To raise fund for all purposes and objectives of this 
Samittee and secure the payment thereof in such manner and in such terms
 and conditions as laid down by the Samittee and mobilize savings among 
the rural people for onleding to the SHG members for carrying out their 
income generating activities and to receive and accept donation, 
grants-in-aids, subscriptions, endowments and gifts in kinds, land, 
building and any other properties.

 

        
19. To carry on any other activity that the Samittee may 
deem 
fit improving the socio-economic as well as cultural lives of the group 
members and their general well being.

 

        
20. To work for animal welfare.
