[Assam] Any comment?

I could be wrong, but the GOI and the GOA has steadfastly maintained that
sovereignty could not be discussed. Other than that, they are willing to
discuss other matters.

Granted the ULFA and its supporters may NOT like this stance, but the
GOI/GOA has been upfront on this issue at least.

Sovereignty is not the only problem. However, if the ULFA andf its
supporters fell that it is the ONLY sole issue, then there is no need for
this hoopla.

That is all they should put upfront and tell the GOI and GOA in uncertain
terms that when the GOI/GOA is ready for giving Assam freedom, only then
should the GOI/GOA put out feelers for discussions. If the GOI/GOA is NOT
willing, then obviously there can be no talks.
