Personally I feel this whole discrimination thing has been blown out
of proportion by the bodo groups.
Anjali Dailmari condems the Oct 30 blast but hails the perpetrators
now because the main culprit happens to be her brother. Is she a
"human rights" activist?
While the bodo groups have come up in unison against the apparent
discrimination of the NDFB leader, what prevents them from asking
Ranjan to be tried for his crimes against humanity. As pointed out in
the letter by Mr JP Rajkhowa not all Axomiyas consider ULFA as their
savior or "icon" of the Assamese.
The bodo groups are now playing the greater Assamese factor when it
suits them, whereas all the while they have been fighting for a
recognition outside the so called greater Assamese society and have
more or less achieved it - separate language, script, territorial
council. Talking of discrimination, I wonder what status the state
language "Assamese" enjoy and what rights do Assamese have in BTC? It
happens only in Assam.
