I think it will be a while before Indian cars can make an impression
in the western markets.
Unlike Japanese and European cars, no one really knows much about
Indian made cars.
Mahindra has been operating in Australia ( more so for tractors than

Even Hyundai( Korean ) took quite a while before they could be
considered at par or almost close to the Japanese build cars.
There's news about Chinese brand cars being available in Aus. One of
the Chinese brand( can't remember the name ) has a highly ambitious
goal of replacing Toyota as the largest selling car brand in the
world. Nothing is impossible ( or Impossible is nothing as the Nike
advert goes ). The initial reaction to the Chinese brands is similar
to those of the Korean made - "cheap" - meaning you get what you paid
for.
