Another case in point is: the words of Mamata Banerjee.

She has openly questioned the wisdom of attributing the blame of derailing the Gyaneshwari Express on the Maoists. Without even pointing her fingers in any direction, she has amply made it clear as to who she thinks blame-worthy! (Surely CPM trying to shift the onus on to her benefactors, the Maoists, before the elections, to her discomfiture) Nice moves at the cost of innocent lives, whoever be the perpetrators.

The analysis made by Sri H. K. Deka (forwarded by KJD) mentioned about the theories of the Maoists: their perception about the Indian reality. One of the contradictions that he had mentioned in his essay was: the conflict among the ruling elite/ class.

It appears that they are utilising the fissures within the ruling class to their great advantage.

But one aspect baffles me: why MMS and his government are in an iffy situation out there? They have not been able to take a firm stand; they are behaving as if they are engaging in diplomacy with a foreign power. Or is there something more than meets the eyes?
