The ULFA chairman Arabinda Rajkhowa is released on bail with an eye on the
proposed New Delhi-ULFA peace talks. Lot of people welcome him in Guwahati and
in some other places. Few of them even carried the flag of ULFA, which is
otherwise a banned organization.
But some points we must not forget-
1.
ULFA has not gone for ceasefire, all the leaders were arrested
2. Arabinda Rajkhowa receives only the bail (not amnesty) with some
conditions
3. Rajkhowa officially thanked the government and the judiciary (of
India)
4. He expressed his grief at the loss of nearly 12000 ULFA cadres in the
last three decades
5. But Rajkhowa never mentioned about the victims (nearly 10,000) of ULFA
engineered violence
Should we go for a debate on these issues?
