Does this central Act covers Assam's Satras? In any case, Assam's temples cannot be compared with the likes of 
theTirupati temple of Andhra Pradesh??or Vishnudevi of Kashmir except perhaps the Kamakhya of Assam. I visited quite a number of satras founded by Srimanta Sankardev and I was sad to find that some of these places are anything but prosperous. Not all religious places can draw crowds.???

I was really surprised to know that money offered to a Hindu deity could be spent for the welfare of Muslim pilgrims.

A solution to the problem of temple funds being misused is to form a Parliamentary or All India Commission to investigate into the matter and recommend appropriate action.
