In perspective ( without intending to show any disrespect )
If 1 gallon = 3.785l, that would equate to $0.82/litre, which is less than
Rs40/litre. In India, people would be happy paying that much.
Here in Aus, the price for unleaded is around $1.20 - $1.30, with the Aus$
sometimes marginally stronger than the US$
Don't you think US had it too easy all these years. Now with increasing
demand for oil from India, China, people in the US are feeling the pinch.
I guess the way out is for the US Govt. to develop good public transport
system and make people travel just like those from the rest of the
world. American love affairs with fuel guzzlers need to end.
