First Call for Papers and Reviewers
Please help* with the 2006 InSITE (Informing Science + IT Education)
conference. {http://InSITE.nu} The conference will be held at
University of Salford in Manchester, June 25-28 and includes a
banquet at the Manchester United Football Club
{http://www.manutd.com/home/}. * by submitting, reviewing, promoting,
and sponsoring
*1. Submit a paper {http://review.insite.nu} by the end of November
and attend the conference in June. * The conference is very
friendly and supportive. It brings together colleagues from various
disciplines and from around the world to discuss their common
research and teaching problems and solutions.
Accepted papers are published in either the conference proceedings
{http://proceedings.informingscience.org} or one of the Informing
Science Institute's journals {http://informingscience.org/}. All our
publications are available online free of charge to everyone without
regard to membership. Your papers are read and cited by colleagues
around the world.
Some topics that are particularly of interest are the following:
Issues in effectively and efficiently /informing/ clients through
information technology. IT is used in all fields, so papers from all
disciplines are welcome Information Technology Education
such as curriculum and techniques for teaching IT Knowledge
&Learning Objects. Any aspect of knowledge and learning objects, such as theory,
practice, innovation, and research Doctoral Studies Papers
all issues in the teaching and mentoring of doctoral students
Misinforming/Disinforming and Bias in informing systems. All
submissions undergo blind review by *six* or more external referees and
you receive copies of the reviewers comments.
*2. Be a conference paper reviewer* Will you review three
submissions related to your areas of interest during December? If you

*3. Help us promote the conference to colleagues around the world. *
If you are willing to help promote the conference among colleagues,
please download, print, and post a copy of a tri-fold
call-for-papers:

*4. Ask your school to sponsor InSITE* The conference also welcomes and
relies on sponsors. Your school, faculty, or university can become an
academic sponsor for as little as ¤300. Sponsors names and logos are
displayed on the conference website, printed materials, and
advertising. Other sponsorships are also available. If you know of
someone that may be interested in sponsorship, we have a letter to
potential sponsors that we can send to you.

¤750 Named Fellowship for one overseas delegate
¤1000 Named coffee/tea break
¤1500 Named reception
¤2000 Named lunch or partial sponsorship of banquet
¤4500 Named Banquet Sponsorship
