the 2006 horizon report is out  at http://www.nmc.org/horizon/

It has sections on:

Social computing
Personal Broadcasting
Phones
Educational Gaming
Augmented Reality
Contextually aware devices.

I find it interesting to read the horizon reports because they provide a
nice introduction to current and upcoming technologies in  
the academy and elsewhere.   That and they are short and provide  
interesting citations.
