I don't necessarily go there to be with others - right now I am sitting in
my sky-box office doing some work - no one around, and it's all good :)
I imagine others do the same - both solitary and collective activity...

Well, I meant you go to a place like SL to do something with others and
not simply to get new information/updates on the lives of others. Those
seem somewhat different to me.
