[Air-l] survey questionnaire

Hi Frank,
I specifically do not branch questions as my review of the literature
suggested that branching changes the commonality of the participants'
experience. There is reasonable doubt that the results of essentially
different surveys can be compared.
Other than an exit screen, I do provide for multiple paging at this time.
This would be relatively simple to implement and I am considering providing
this and some other features in the next version.
Other than a small authorship line at the bottom of the survey page, all
survey content is created by the author of the survey. You could thus
create a survey in any language you care to use. The survey design and
review areas are all in English but participants would not need to see this
area.
Answers are stored where the survey is hosted. If you install the public
domain/open source system on your server, the results will be stored on your
server. You can also use my server at http://birat.net and export data as
you wish. Export options include CSV and Excel.
The BIRAT system is designed from the top down with a focus on academic
research and exploring the possibilities inherit in Internet research. I'm
very open to adding useful features and/or features that explore new
possibilities exposed by the use of Internet surveys as opposed to surveys
using other modalities.
Charlie

I looked into several of the entry forms.
Several questions:
- Can you branch questions ?
- Can you layout the pages so that you have a limited number of questions on
a page, and respondents don't get shocked when they see the number of
question still to answer ?
- Can you use another language than English ?
- Where are the answers stored - on your server, on mine ?
Thanks,
Frank
