Dear friends and colleagues,

This is Monica Murero, the Aoir Treasurer. Tax information time at Aoir ...I have completed the 2006 Annual Report. The Annual Report is the most important legal and financial document of the association. It measures aoir's financial ...health .  In 2006 Aoir has significantly improved its financial position. Since I  have started my mandate,  balance has  increased  of 68% .   

In 2006 I have reviewed the membership system. The combination of conference fees+ membership dues we introduced for the first time in Brisbane has proved to be a good solution, and we will proceed in this direction. Moreover, most 2006  expiring AoIR members are receiving a "free extension" of their membership as we speak ! In Brisbane,  savings on expenses and  sponsors helped generate a profit, and therefore our thank you goes to all of you who have helped reach this result, particularly to Axel. In the next weeks I will send to the Air-exec a few political proposals of investments for discussion.  I will present the next  Financial  Report summary at the Aoir General Meeting in Vancouver, next October. 

Finally, I'd like to  thank  Steve Jones who has filled  IRS tax information forms  for us  ... the funniest part of the job  : -)
