*{Strongly recommended}*

*E-Policy, Law, and Governance*

http://www.hicss.hawaii.edu/hicss_42/minitracks/eg-elg.htm

E-Policy, Law, and Governance focuses on the development, utilization, and
expansion of information and communications technologies (ICT). We are
especially interested in papers examining the creation and implementation of
public policies and laws, as well as how these technologies impact and
influence governance systems and public institutions. While ICTs offer a
means to increased efficiency and effectiveness, these technologies must be
tempered by concerns of equity, privacy, and access.

*Topics and research areas include, but are not limited to:*
* *Public policy/e-policies issues and their analysis* associated with
digital divide; ICT standards; diffusion and adoption of ICT; and the role
of ICT in public administration at the local, state, and national level.
* *E-governance* associated with legal and policy implications of
inter-organizational and public-private sector systems for government
service delivery and includes transparency, trust and legitimacy concerns,
as well as issues of accountability, responsiveness, and authority.
