> CFP: IRIS 2011, WORKSHOP: OPEN GOVERNMENT & OPEN ACCESS
>
> Open Government can change how citizens interact with their own
> government. The Ministers responsible for the eGovernment policy of
> the European Union Member States stated that "there is a growing
> expectation from European citizens and businesses for their
> governments to be more open, flexible and collaborative in their
> delivery of public services across Europe." (Malmö, 2009)
> The use of ICT supports connectedness among citizens and can lead
> to more transparent, collaborative and participative society.
> This new research field includes:
>
> * Empowerment of citizens: opportunities, problems and challenges;
> * Open government and changes in decision making processes;
> * The impact of transparent government on e-participation;
> * Changes in the G2B relationship;
> * Political and legal issues of open access and open data;
> * Open access and open data licence and format issues.
