Applications are invited for further new positions in Science and Technology
Studies at Linköping University:
A Senior Lectureship (permanent appointment) - LIU-2015-00421
2 Post Docs (each two years in the first of instance) - TEMA-2015-00045
The successful applicants will work in conjunction with Professor Steve
Woolgar, as part of the Department of Thematic Studies (Technology and
Social Change) - a lively and growing unit of some 50 Faculty, Postdoctoral
Researchers and PhD students. Current research includes topics such as
values (the unit is home to the journal Valuation Studies), health and
medicine, patient experience, algorithms, digital technologies,
intervention, revelation, and critique.
For these positions, research interests and substantive topics are open,
although preference may be given to applicants with interests or experience
in any of the following:
· Technologies of assessment: rating, ranking and evaluation
· Digital technologies; visualization
· Development and use of algorithms, as played out for example, in
the analysis of big data
· Markets and marketing
Applications are especially welcome from candidates with interests in
contemporary STS theoretical themes, such as materiality, ontology,
multiplicity, performativity and agency.
