The Department of Humanities <https://humansciences.iit.edu/humanities> at
Illinois Institute of Technology seeks a tenure-track assistant professor
of digital humanities for a Fall 2017 appointment. Our ideal candidate will
be a digital humanities scholar with disciplinary expertise in one of our
core areas: communication; history; linguistics; media studies; or science,
technology, and society.

Successful applicants will have completed a Ph.D. by August 2017 and
demonstrate evidence of potential for collaborative, interdisciplinary
research. Teaching responsibilities will include both undergraduate and
graduate instruction, especially in the undergraduate majors in Digital
Humanities

and Communication

and graduate program in Technology and Humanities, which offers both M.S.

and Ph.D.

degrees.

In addition to courses in their area of expertise, candidates should be
prepared to teach in at least one of the following areas:

   - Digital writing and editing
   - Game or web application design
   - Research methods
