Not quite in the Aug-dec bracket but hopefully still of interest to AoIR people.
WebScience 2017 will take place in Troy NY from June 26 to 28, with workshops on the 25th. http://websci17.org/
We will be running a half-day interactive discussion workshop on the 25th on "AMOIA (Algorithm Mediated Online Information Access) – user trust, transparency, control and responsibility". More information and sign-up for the workshop is available here:

Subject: [Air-L] Interesting conferences?
Can anyone share interesting conferences or events on the East Coast of the USA this fall? I have a sabbatical coming up (Aug-Dec 2017) and will be in Boston/Providence and would love to know about anything happening that's related to AoIR-ish topics!
Do we have a global calendar of events and cfps of interest to AoIR people, btw?
