The School of Information invites applications for an Associate or Full Professor with tenure (January 2019 or August 2019 appointment) with a strong record of research in usability studies, a scholar who is a global leader on research related to augmented reality, immersive media, virtual reality, new media’s impact on society, mobile communications, as well as integration and technology adoption in medicine and growing areas of health informatics. This position requires vision and approaches tied to outreach to underrepresented learners as well as strong pedagogical abilities for teaching a diverse set of students. Experience in academic leadership roles, tight industry partnerships, and research across domains to include health technologies are preferred. Ideal candidates will bring experience with interdisciplinary/multidisciplinary/transdisciplinary funded grant teams, and will exhibit the potential to raise the computational/big tech profile for the University of Arizona.

The School of Information is an academic unit in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences at the University of Arizona, Arizona’s only public land grant university.
