[Air-L] Retail store performance questions

Dear list member,

I am not sure if the right place to ask this question, but I will give it a
try.

One of my master students wants to compare the performance (e.g., sales) of
two retails stores (from the same chain) located in different places in the
city. One store is doing better than the other. Hence, the student wants to
investigate why is this so.

So, he wants to know, what sort of theoretical framework and methodology
will be appropriate in this case. What variables need to be considered (in
addtion to obvious ones like the location itself). What type of data does
he need to collect? so fort.

Any pointers will be really helpful.

Regards,
GFK
