Guest-Editors:
* Ann Crigler, Professor of Political Science and Policy, Planning and Development, USC
* Marion Just, William R. Kenan, Jr. Professor of Political Science, Wellesley College
All papers will be widely distributed to a variety of stakeholders, including politicians, journalists, and researchers.
Topics of particular interest include, but are not limited to:
* Disinformation originating from domestic official sources
* Disinformation and partisan polarization
* International state-sponsored disinformation campaigns
* The role of traditional media (TV, radio, newspapers, etc.) in interaction with online disinformation (amplification, etc.)
* Disinformation and Elections-relevant wedge issues
* Detection of online communities that spread, or are targeted by, SNS disinformation campaigns
* Effects of disinformation on journalists’ norms and practices in covering the election
* Behavioral effects of disinformation
We invite concise, empirical papers from all disciplines and methodologies, including case studies, experimental research, qualitative/ethnographic research, data and network sciences. We are particularly interested in papers employing mixed-methodologies.
