Dear Sandrine,

I've never done this, but I can't really imagine a moment when it would be
necessary. I would save your money and design a more accessible study.

I tell my students to never pay for anything related to research, and I
would give the same advice to colleagues.

Others who have more experience may have more direct testimonies.
