Good afternoon,

*apologies for cross-posting*

The Digital Interests Lab <http://digitalinterests.org> and Ai Now
<https://ainowinstitute.org/> present a new series of conversations
surrounding Public Interest Technology: The PITCh
<https://www.digitalinterests.org/events/the-pitch/>!

The PITCh is a monthly series of remote conversations between established
and early career scholars to support the work of practitioners and
academics interested in public interest technology (PIT), with discussions
on substantive issues and professional development topics.

The PITCh, hosted by Digital Interests Lab Director Prof. Anne L.
Washington, <https://annewashington.com/> PhD, will feature analysis and
approaches by established scholars, and extensive opportunities for
dialogue and reflections with two guests per session. Each session will
also have a limited number of early career individuals as a “live”
audience, who will have the opportunity to ask questions and respond to the
main conversation. The events will be broadcast live in a Zoom Webinar
format, and will also have a brief general public Q&A towards the end.'

Our first event is next week, 10/27 at 3PM EDT, with Arizona State
University Prof. Alexandrina Agloro
<https://isearch.asu.edu/profile/3350088>, and University of California
Santa Cruz Prof. Chris Benner <https://chrisbenner.sites.ucsc.edu/> joining
us to discuss centering the community in PIT. Register here
