[Air-L] Analysis of Whatsapp chat conversations

I had a very productive conversation with the IRB (Institutional Review Board, aka research ethics committee) at my institution about my research on WhatsApp, Misinformation, and the far-right in Brazil. The groups that I researched were considered public groups, which facilitated things in my case.

Thank you for this thread and sharing this information about What's App chat conversations. I am having difficulty getting IRB approval to collect What's App conversations in connection with interview data --I am sure that the fact that the topic is related to mental health and sexuality research adds to the difficulty. I expect I am going to need to make a good case with literature from the field to get through the process. I am following this thread closely.
