Researcher in the Field of Critical Digital Studies with a Focus on 
Digital Democracy

Paderborn University’s Media Systems and Media Organisation Research 
Group seeks to fill the following position:

Researcher in the Field of Critical Digital Studies with a Focus on 
Digital Democracy (salary level according to 13 TV-L). with 100% of the 
regular working hours. This is a fixed-term position from 1.1.2025 until 
31.12.2026 that is part of an EU research project.

The appointed early career researcher will work at Paderborn University 
in the Horizon Europe research project INNOVADE: INNOVAtive DEmocracy 
through Digitalisation (funded by the Call 
HORIZON-CL2-2024-DEMOCRACY-01-07: Past, Present and Future of 
Democracies). INNOVADE’s goal is to better understand and to advance 
digital democracy. Prof. Christian Fuchs is the Principal Investigator 
(PI) of one of INNOVADE’s research teams. The Paderborn University team 
focuses on theories and social research of digital democracy. The 
researcher will work together with Prof. Fuchs in INNOVADE. The working 
language of the INNOVADE research project is English.
