Dear Colleagues,

we would like to draw your attention to the Call for Applications for 9 Ph.D. positions in the Sociology and Methodology of Social Research (SOMET) programme.

The SOMET Ph.D. is a joint programme of the Department of Social and Political Sciences at the University of Milan and the Department of Cultures, Politics and Society at the University of Turin. The University of Milan is the administrative base of the programme, which is embedded in the Department of Social & Political Sciences, awarded as "Department of Excellence 2023-2027" by the Italian Ministry of University & Research. Admission to the  Ph.D. programme is based on qualifications and interviews. Admitted Ph.D. students will be granted a scholarship. The Ph.D. programme, fully taught in English at University of Milan and Turin, offers quality teaching at the international level and promotes international exchanges with top European research institutions.

Among the possible research strands where to propose a project, perhaps of greater interest for participants in this list is the "Digital society and the media" one, with potential supervisors profs. Giorgia Aiello, Massimo Airoldi, Alessandro Caliandro, Alessandro Gandini and Sergio Splendore.

Deadline for application - 27 June 2024, h. 14.00 (Italy time zone)
