Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the 7th International Workshop on Cyber Social Threats (CySoc 2026), to be held in conjunction with the International AAAI Conference on Web and Social Media (ICWSM 2026) in Los Angeles, California, USA.

CySoc provides an interdisciplinary venue for researchers and practitioners studying emerging cyber social threats in online environments. The workshop aims to foster dialogue across fields such as social computing, computational social science, AI, social cybersecurity, and communication.

Spotlight Topic (2026): Human–AI Relationships: Risks, Rewards, and Responsibilities

With the rapid emergence of generative AI and agentic AI systems, online ecosystems are undergoing significant transformation. These technologies introduce new opportunities but also raise concerns around manipulation, false or misleading information, harassment, and unintended harms affecting individuals, communities, and society at large.

Topics of Interest: 
We invite submissions on a broad range of topics including, but not limited to:
	•	Online extremism, harassment, and cyberbullying
	•	Hate speech, toxicity, and harmful online content
	•	Coordinated influence campaigns
	•	Mental health implications of social media
	•	Trust relationships and community dynamics online
	•	Ethical considerations in privacy-preserving social media analytics
	•	Generative AI and agentic AI in online platforms
	•	Risks, misuse, and unintended societal impacts of AI systems

Submission Types: We welcome:
	•	Full research papers
	•	Position papers
	•	Short papers
	•	Demonstrations

Accepted papers will be presented at the workshop and published in the ICWSM Workshop Proceedings.
