[Assam] Demands for Separate states in India

This is certainly true. Over time, it is possible that certain parts of a
state see themselves as separate identities from the rest.

In the NE, this may not be a good trend though. We have seen from experience
that some in the NE will never be satisfied with just 'statehood'. There are
something like 30 or 40 insurgent groups in the NE. More such groups of
disaffected will certainly spring up and then demand for 'independence' and
then of course God & country be damned!
