Mukul-da,

I'm glad that you found Rousseau's life and work interesting -so did I. We can all learn from anyone regardless of race, religion or national origin .

I'm amused by the Indian airline passengers from India questioned by Netherlands. The whole thing sounded too stupid so I did not even read the news.
It seems there are many who see too much reality in Indian movies (read Bollywood's) and seem to think that anything goes . Go abraod even though you do not know the language and treat the world like everyone else was a fool.
You are right that Indians have to reengineer themselves. Perhaps we can learn from Rousseau about that -even without leaving the country's borders.

  Regards.

  Umesh

Rosseau- Philosopher-artist humanist. What a treat you led us to!
A passing thought- 'What would happen to India and Indians if a local or NRI creates such original genius'?
Look at the 12 Indians arrested for using cellphones'jumping about when the Fasten Seat Belt sign is on-exchanging seats, shuffling in overhead luggage racks- demanding water to drink- (even pinching a passing hostess)--- and the whole Nation politicising-going Ga Ga for 2 day+, all Tv channels busy only wiyh that----.
India has to be Reiengineered first.

Hi,

See the paintings by clicking on the links below the webpage -such as "Surprised"

I saw this incredible exhibition after coming out of the Canadian embassy on Aug 23, 2006 (my brother's B'day). Amazing painting of tigers in tropical jungles, gorillas fighting Red Indians and so on. All from the imagination of the painter -who never left his country -France - but painted scenes from around the world. He never studied art at college -and was from a provincial (rural) town.

Can we learn from him?

Umesh
