Why blame BSF?

Learn from your own leaders first, Barua and Rajkhowa - who have shown that the way forward is to peacefully/happily accept and coexist with these "illegals" by becoming ONE AMONG THEM.

Sandip

Mukul da,

People don't need any visa to enter Assam (free or not). The illegal B'deshis have already proved that not only does one NOT need a visa, but they would be welcome with open arms by a gutless set of politicians who will give anything in return for their "votes". :):)

I do not understand why the parent is calling his fellow Indians racist -- isn't that a simple example of his audacity --first he does not have a visa for his kids and then he calls the Indian immigration officials racist --have u heard that ever from anyone going to US immigration?

Green Card holder means that family is already in foreign shores for good (US) and therefore should respect India's laws and get visas for their American kids --just like anyone else. Why do they expect special treatment. Who in their right mind would travel anywhere abroad without visa --esp one so well versed in immigration laws -as a US Green Card holder.

Isn't there an attitude problem somewhere?

Yes, Umesh, there may be NRIs who are rude - but these are usually the ones who have little or no basic education in etiquette, or temperament, and with chips on their shoulders.Others may need to go to 'finishing school'.

Also your assumption of waving the American Passport and demanding 'special treatment' is

painting with such a broad brush - most people I know, do no such thing.

Here the govt official is rude but aren't NRIs rude too when they wave their American passport and demand special treatment in India? White skinned people do not behave like Sahibs and Memsahibs anymore in India
