[Assam] Harvard News: China's One Child Policy - coming of age

We interviewed one of our female classmates who was born in China raised in Singapore and her parents are back in China working there. She said that one-child policy is strcitly enforced mostly in urban areas (with son-preference and its related problems) --whereas in rural areas away from the sea coast - people have more children. Most of China's richer population and business is also near their east coast on the East. Interiors have poverty and less population.
