Hi Ram:
Looks like you are very allergic to invading influences too :-).
Unfortunately it it is too late to try and alter history, pathetic
text-book revising not-withstanding. Trying to deny it is futile. Get
used to it would be my recommendation.
Indian architecture, as the world knows it, is not represented by
Meenakshi temple. Nor by the other great temples, which are
architectural sculptures.
But the Buddhist era structures are far better examples of
ARCHITECTURE, that created SPACE. Hindu temple architecture never
created SPACE, the singular test of what is architecture and what is
not. Not to downplay the craftsmanship and carving skills -- it is
remarkable. As was the genius of engineering in moving all that rock.
But still, architecture strictly it ain't.
Indian music, again as the world knows it, is a fusion of what
developed indigenously and what was brought by them invaders. There
won't be any sitar, or sarod, or Bollywood music without it. Again
not to deny or downplay Carnatic forms or Oxomiya bihu-geet, but that
is not what 'Indian music' as the world knows it, is.
Tenga anza, alu-pitika with mitha tel, poita bhaat with pwra goroi
maas, dosa, sambar and idli are wonderful. But Indian cuisine, as the
world knows it, and modern Indians savor it, are not made up of all
those things.
Manipuri dance, Xottriya naas, Oddissi, Bharatnatyam too are
wonderful. But Bollywood dancing won't be anything without them
invaders' decadent influences.
There now! Get used to it Ram. Tending a slow burning fire of denial
should be left to the zealots :-).
