I am very much fascinated to know that at least a few people are
considering Infrastructure Development of Assam as a basic requirement. I
feel great about it. At least I feel that people are trying to find out the
basic things which can change the future of Assam. I always analyzed the
need of the people of Assam and found out the following basics. It is high
time to make people conscious about the basics and spread the
consciousness as a virus : which cannot be destroyed at any cost.
My listing :-
Personal:-
1. Credit consciousness : If you take a loan you should return it (whether
it is Institutional or Personal).
2. Try to Appreciate people : Any good effort of a person can prove to be a
tip of an iceberg in the long run.
3. Cooperation & Morale boos up : Always encourage people saying/doing good
things : never discourage anybody.
4. Listen to the young mind : Thought process of Young person are much more
volatile and conclusive. It is not the matured brain that can give you
Creative Ideas.
5. Financial rule of life : 1+1=2. It is ultimate truth. You can plan your
life based on this type of truth. If you study Commerce you can become a
commerce graduate. Accept it. Plan your life as per the truth. Never go on
repenting what you could not do. You should try to plan according to your
assets and do something about your future based on the same.
If anyone gets by heart a few points from above listing he will achieve
great heights in life ( at least I feel so).
Assam:-
6. Time Zone : The local time of Assam is 1 Hr advance of IST. So if you
cannot utilise 1 Hr in the morning you loose 1 Hr daily as compared to
other people of India.
7. Infrastructure : Roads should be weather proof. All bridges made of
Concrete. Cost of construction should be utilized 100%. No intermediate
officials should have any share.
8. Flood control : If you calculate the donation/grant of Central Govt. for
Flood relief /flood control in Assam for say last 15 yrs it will amount to
several thousand crores. With that amount We could have made the mighty
Bratmaputra to flow in a concrete pipe if would have had some vision.
Moreover, villagers are very keen to cut the embankment to let flood water
in to their villages.
9. Financial Managers : Assam need Financial managers in Administrative
level/ Ministerial level to run the economy of Assam.
10. Spooling of talent : It is not that we do not have extraordinary
persons who can represent Assamese society, it is lack of spooling all the
talent in a platform and give due regards to them. They will definitely
pull the economy/ Infrastructure of Assam to a considerable level.
Please read the above points very carefully and discuss with your friends
colligues and family. These are my individual findings. Please let me know
if you have found any lacuna in the same.

Vavani is absolutely right. I subscribe to the spirit
of his letter.
WE have forgotten the priority in our social life. WE
forgot to respond to the demands of modern world. We
miserably failed to live upto the responsibilites of
creating modern infrastructure in Assam, to make the
life smooth and hassle free for the common Asamese and
instead diverted our time and energy on meaningless
pursuits like Changing names, and creating debates of
unnecessary topics.
Basic infrastructure and import of global expertise to
Assam is a must priority in Assam right now, and it is
the duty of everyone having any interest in Asam to
awaken the society and government and also all the NRi
Assamese to positively contribute to resurgence of the
spirit of nationshood through practical efforts and
pragmatism.
